Other than the fact that the windmills themselves are expensive/require a lot of materials to produce, wind is very difficult to harvest. In other words, it is hard to find areas where the wind is constantly strong and blowing and therefore producing energy. It is very simply, an unreliable source of energy.

    The biggest two are:

    1) Windmills are not very attractive and many people will hate having them covering the landscape.

    2) Many parts of the world dont have enough wind to produce enough electricity to make the windmills useful. Ex: Mountenous regions or regions with dense forrest/jungle.

The disadvantages of the wind power of energy are the same as the disadvantages of the wind power of energy.
