ATTENTION: ...
ATTENTION: Apparently chevron oil (corrupt American oil company) bought the rights to NiMH battery technology so they could prevent auto manufacturers from using it to build more efficient hybrid vehicles and force us to keep buying gasoline. The name of the company that produced the NiMH batteries used to be Ovionic Battery Systems, but Chevron and Texaco bought the company and changed the name to Cobasys and made it impossible for auto manufacturers to buy the batteries. Search it for yourself

the bureau of land ...
the bureau of land management controls a huge portion of the land that is virtually untapped. so the con about it requiring vast amounts of land isn't a con if the government would get off their duff and give it TO US. also the southwestern region of the united states boasts a cool 95% solar year. meaning the sun shines 95% of the year. there's vast amounts of untapped land, lots of sun. they should be able to run the entire AMERICAS by 5 states alone.

Indeed - the most ...
Indeed - the most common and also the most efficient utilization of solar energy is by means of solar heat, not solar electricity/photovoltaic. Why burn ever more rare and expensive fuel to heat water, when the sun does it for free - plus it can be easily stored in insulated tanks.

Solar energy is not ...
Solar energy is not only electricity!
In the form of heat it can be stored and used all the day around and all year around.
I built my own solar collector and got all my domestic hot water from spring to fall. All of it! In Sweden!
