This video deals with installing the 2 inch pulley onto the generator 1/2 inch shaft using an allen wrench. Then it goes into how to adjust the adjustable V-belt Powertwist belt so you have the proper tension on the belt. You will need to determine proper tension by measuring belt deflection with 2 Lbs of force applied, which should come to be some around 0.75 inches. After that, this video goes into how to hook up your pedal power bicycle generator to a Duracell power pack that contains a 20 Amp Hour lead acid battery. You are required to read the onwer’s manual for your power pack before hooking up. ESPECIALLY THE SECtION ON SAFETY. The powerpack is connected via a set of jumper cables to the bike generator assembly positive and negative bolt / lugs. Next you will need to adjust the charge voltage set on the NC25A charge controller. Most lead acid or AGM (Absorbed glass mat) batteries can be charged at a typical level that a car runs at which is 14.8 Volts DC. After things are hooked up you will need a DC volt meter to determine of you generator is working.
